I am soliciting comments either pro or con on this model radio. I have an opportunity to buy one and need some opinions on it's performance, etc. Thanks

my radio desk :{ not much swing, low mod, terrible
RX too! they were a great idea that failed.lotsa
great features,BUT...... get a ranger base or
something along those lines.the galaxy dx2547 is a

I have recently aquired a superstar 4900b and love it... transmit and recieve both work great... frequency coverage is better than the rangers... this radio has more features than i'll ever use the guy that said it wasn't a good recieve or transmit radio must have a sucky tech working on it.. i did my own work on mine and the modifications were very easy... plenty of power and dx here....
