I'm looking to purchase a CB base station for the first time. A galaxy 2547 or a Texas Ranger 696F. What would be the best antenna for this hook up?

what do you have for things that are tall around your house? if you got some tall trees, get some coax, 18' of 10 gauge wire and string yourself up a dipole. those macos look like killer antennas

I totally agree with the antron 99 unless you run power. They bleed like a stuck pig at a farm fest! LOL!!!!!! Pending on what your radio set up is and if it's modified to where the audio is a screaming!!!!

Davec,
Read tech833's review on "How To Choose A Groundplan Antenna" in the Subsciber (Preview) section of this forum.
It should answer all your questions.
