If you are looking for a cell mod forget it.You would have to find a down converter.

cell phones can be listened to over an old analog tuned TV from channels 75-83 or something up there

I tried that about 15 years ago.It does work but tuning on the old TV's is very broad and it was was very hard to tune on the narrow cell signals.A scanner was much easier to use but the novelty wore off in about a month.When I do a cell mod now days I will check the band to make sure it works.Around here it seems that 90% of all cell traffic is digital.This makes the mod next to worthless but easy money.
