That is common because it is FM and they cheat a little in the audio output circuit to get it discriminated and to an output , It gets coupled back in when in "stand-by"

Bruce,

Trust me when that Sucker goes off if you are sitting in front of the radio, you will jump out of the Chair or when you are sound asleep it WILL WAKE you up.

But that is what it is suppossed to do and it does work very well.

1st Sargant like to killed me the first night it went off about 3 in the morning.

It's kinda like a squad car sneaking up right below your bedroom window and hitting the Siren.

Well Lon you were right. We had a passing of storms through here tonight, and that weather alarm went off and scared the s*** out of me lol.
I do really like this added bonus to the radio. Since I have my radio room in a little house out back I guess I won't have the Better Half taking wild swings at me lol.

P.S Bruce this alarm sounds as long as the radio is pluged in. on or off.

Tech808-

I'm happy to see that you survived the rath of the 1st Sargant. Did you consider yourself fortunate? I'm betting it could have been worse.

Jeff, kc0gxz.
