Hey Black Knight I'm in the northern part of Osceola County. My rig is down right now but as soon as I get it back up and running I'll post you here and we'll see if we can get together.

Gimme a hollar when ya get fixed back up.

Black Knight I usually run the lower 40 on AM but for the most part anymore that area is pretty quiet so it's fairly easy to get around without much aggravation. Keep an eye on the forum and I'll post a BREAK BLACK KNIGHT post on the open forum and we can set something up. We can see who all we can drag into this.:)

IT'S COMING-Black Knight I have everything I need to get back online with the base. Should be about 2 weeks and I'll be able to stand the tower back up and BAM there I'll be yakin' again. Can you get down below 1 and if so how far. We can at least get a frequency we both have set up anyway!

KNIGHT RANGER Sorry man Apparently I've been typing without looking. I use 26.855 locally occasionally some Southeastern skip to if that one's OK with you let me know. Will be putting the base of the tower in concrete this coming Saturday so give it one more week for the concrete to cure and probably by noon or so on the 19th I'll be back up and broadcasting. If it would'nt interfere with paying the bills I'd quit work so I could get this done sooner. I'll post another thread here to let you know for sure titled BREAK KNIGHT RANGER.

26.855 work for me I am set up for lower vs higher freq's anyhow. my old home channel was 26.635. had a good group of folks in virginia we would all get in there every night and chew the rag. American Freebanders Radio Club. even had cirtificates made up for all the founding members :-) Hard to find a good group like that now adays on the cb or even ham radio for that matter. is really sad cause it is a good hobby. I have met many good folks over the radio in the past years.

Hey Knight Ranger, I just got the tower base all concreted in and I'm in the process of getting all my PL-259's soldered onto the new coax. Getting closer and closer. I'm about half tempted to get in a hurry but I want this to be the last time I do all of this until I buy my house so I'm making myself go slow and careful so it's right this time.Check out the HEY ALSWORLD post about a DX-A-THON. the last one was a blast so maybe you can make plans to get into this one.

sweet deal. Yea take your time my friend. I just finished hooking up all the jaz in the mobile this weekend...was hard to find room to mount all that stuff in the truck. had to add a second battery too just to hold all the draw :-)gold plated ends from battery terminals fresh coax and new jumpers. Debated on the 102 whip but decided for cosmetics to go wilson 5000 in the center of the roof. even rand a nice fresh run of #2 wire to the extra battery. Even threw in the Yaesu YS-60 so I can keep a nice eye on TX and swr. and wired up the 575 mic to the 2950 so I should be all good to go.
