hooked palomar 250 to my 29 wxnwst and cant set swr the knob stops before it can calibrate

I had this problem. When i turn my Wattage down for the Amp. I cant set the SWRs. So i set them with 4 watts. Then hook up the Unit And turn it down & re check it alwaws is alittle higher Billy

Try to use an external meter.
