I was thinking of buying 1 of these but had a few questions. How does it do on sideband? What class it is? Does anyone out there use 1 of these on a regular basis? I have a kl300p that works pretty well but just need a little more umph!

Most, if not all of the KLV amps are superb on Sideband. I think those on the receiving end will appreciate the quality audio. No need to push it hard, easier is better and it will run cool and last a long time.

I had a 300P and it was NOT that great, it crapped itself. I upgraded to the 500 and it is awesome!! I always talk to Australia (my home country) with it connected to my Magnum 257, and if I can hear them they can definately hear me!! It is a great amp for sure, stay away from the 300, and spend a little extra for a whole LOT more!
Cheers
