Been a pretty good while since the last one AND I am redoing my whole set up one last time and taking my time to do it right. With a little technical help from 307 occasionally it should be done in about 2 weeks! I think if we can shoot for the middle of August sometime everybody should be able to fit it in. For myself I don't do alot of SSB so maybe a "lower side" AM channel could be included. WHATTA YA SAY!! |

Ya know Bullseye, I think that is one heck of an idea. Mid August would be real good for me as the movers just delivered all my stuff today at the new home 20 in NW Washington State. I've been unpacking ever since and will be for days on end.
My base antenna is not up yet but I have already begun setting up the shack with my desk, computer, etc. in hopes of getting off a picture to 307 if I'm not too late when it's done. Radio and equipment will be next after the 'real' necesseties are up and running.
I'm trying to figure out how to set up my base antenna. Gosh I've got lots of straight tall pine trees to secure it to, but gotta figure out how to get up them? One way or another, I'll get it up and talking.
Shocker60050, shoot man everyone's input is important here, new or old. Welcome to the forum. When conditions are right (the major factor), we make a lot of contacts with other forum members. Some have been great, others limited (bad skip or busy channels) but even if the radio is not working so well, we use an open chat room as backup. You may be surprised that others across the lands that may hear you. It's all good fun.
I'm kind of busy now but we'll get the wheels a turning and set something in motion setting the goal around mid August somewhere.

Hey Alsworld I was hoping you'd say that and I promise not to drop my tower this time hurrying to get on the air for the DX-A-THON. Shocker new or old rookie or veteran on this forum EVERYBODY'S input is important and listened to so if you have something to say a question to ask or anything else just put it out there and someone somewhere somehow will read it answer it or need it so don't be shy!!! |
