just thought i'd ask and see if it was my radio or something around me or if everyone hears it, i have a beacon on 28.005! does anyone else hear it??? what the heck is it??? 73's chris |

808 and bruce, the beacon is not listed there and i am about 20 miles to the south of st. louis mo. i checked it more today and to me it sounds like it is in lsb mode and i have about an s-5 signal on it! hmmmmmmmm i shut off everything in the house i could and nothing??? i have no clue but it's just like a high pitched hum!! oh well, good thing it's not on 37 or 38 lsb then i would be going crazy!! lol!! 73's chris |

A beacon would not be transmitting a hum. 28 MHz. beacons use CW. It would look like someone keying and unkeying their radio quickly. |

hmmmmmm then i have a strange high piched hum like someone has a freq generator on or something sounds like it's in lsb mode???? |
