Everybody can relate to this in one way or another... You spend more time than any reasonable person looking, talking about and researching a purchase (read radio). Finally you make the decision and wait for your baby to show up. When it finally arrives and you get on the air there are nothing but "Q5" reports from all around. Naturally, when it comes time for another you've done your homework and automatically order the same radio.
ASSumption #1 - Just because it's the same model it will perform the same...
ASSumption #2 - If it doesn't perform the same it must be something else besides the radio...
ASSumption #3 - It will heal itself/you can tweak it just a little & everything will be fine...
Wrong, wrong, wrong. Anyway this is to specifically thank 307 for turning my "stepchild" radio into the #1 son. At the same time I would like to generally thank all Copper's Techs for their sound advice and the time/trouble spent to make this an enjoyable and informative forum. Heck, I've learned a bunch from the regulars. I think we are all fortunate to have such a fine, diverse group of people who love the hobby. Again 307, Well Done!
