I`m Thinking of buying this radio, I drive a truck so it will be used as a cb. my question is
when you buy it from copper does the 11 meter converison make this where it will talk on the cb band? also the tuning what kind of dead key and swing are you looking at? I just want a good talking cb with all the extras and this radio seems to be the cheapest for the best stuff anyway thanks in advance and hope this was not a dumb question . I`m a driver not a tech, anyway thanks for taking the time of reading and responing to my question..

When Copper is done with the radio it will cover all 40 AM and SSB frequencies. The DK and swing can be what you want. Within reason.
I have had mine for over a year and have NO complaints.
If using an amp I would suggest a low DK of 2 1/2 watts. It has a variable power knob that permits one to seek the power they need.
NO question on this forum is dumb.
Go the the search section to the left. Under Keyword enter VR9000. This should answer many of your questions. Hope this is of some help.
