Hi all I am new to this site, so please be gentle till I get my feet wet.
I have a Cobra 25 WX-ST, I am checking it on the bench and I get the weather channels but when I go to the cb all I get is a deep HUMMM. Any ideas as to what might be wrong?

What kind of power supply are you using?

I am using a 13.8v power inverter. Do you think it might be bad? I will try another one tomorrow and let you know.

maybe its the mic wiring, like a grounded out mic? |

Thanx Taz, That was my first choice, so I did exactly that, Changed mics. still same problem. I am gonna try a different power supply today.

Hows your swr? Ive seen high swr make radios have a serious hum before. |

I wanted to know if I could send this radio to you tech 307? If you can tell me if its worth fixing or not?
