hank jr ( fav is a tune that never got much air play due to its RUDENESS for its day ...title: the american way )... also one ELVIS tune ( suspicious minds )... luke skywalker best hit ( heey, we want some " stuff " ).... also like the metallica 2 cd set with the orchestra that came out a year or two ago ... like some OLD COUNTRY with the " dolbro " in it, you never hear a dolbro being played any more .... I go for the individual SONGS instead of the artists... if the lousiest singer in 20 years sings a sone the way I like it, I like it, but I dont go " goo goo gaa gaa " over every song that one artists recording of... I like the OLD country and GOSPEL that folks sang " from the HEART and not fer your wallet "...also like instrumental music where you know the words, and can mumble and sing along, without any one hearing you sing off-key...hey I can listen to most any thing except rap for a while..( read in the paper a few weeks ago that the main buyers of rap music were WHITE folks...hmmm )...I wanna see a video of WILLIE NELSON sing " highway to hell" (lol) and see a video of METALLICA singing "Amazing Grace "...also heard of a SHINAH TWAIN concert a while back, that she sang 2 or 3 songs before some realized her microphone was not working ( seems the predominately young MALE audience did not arrive to hear her singing )...shame most of the am / fm radio stations dont have " home town d j " any more, every thing is syndicated and so organized that the old fashioned local am radio station dont stand a chance against the " big dogs "...would love to hear the local stations set it up where LOCAL musicians could play a few songs live on the air at a set time every TUESDAY night of the week, or for the am daytime stations, every Saturday afternoon have a "jam session " with local musicians playing, throw in a live remote at the courthouse square, and forget about profit, just have FUN...it might accidntly boost the ratings, since with the local groups, some ones cousin or brother or friend from work is in that group and they would like to hear him/her sing or play the guitar... hey you could do the same thing with a cb radio and an amplifier, set up your mobile and play your live music ( no tapes or cd s ) on the air...sure it is illegal, but it aint no different than locking the mike down and playing a whole cd on the air, and this is live local music, complete with mistakes, and back ground noise and the who shebang all-kind-of-old-fashioned-fun event

looks like a lot of folks would rather talk in this post than some of the others....wonder why ?... yep, I like CAT SCRATCH FEVER by Ted Nugent...FREE BIRD ( the looooong 18 minute version ) by Lynyrd Skynyrd...also the LIVE version on one lp.........TURN BACK TIME by Cher ...I THINK I LOVE YOU by the Partridge Family ( really just David Cassidy and some unknown back up singers ) .... LICK IT UP by Kiss... and a few not mentioned here....if you play the low ( thump, thump ) bass music vibrating on the bottom of a aluminum bass boat, audio turned down low, with the speaker making ripples across the water with each thump thump...will it attract more fish to be caught ? or just annoy the other fishermen a half mile away? I aint talking about making no four foot tital waves with the bass music beat, just enough to make itty bitty ripples in the water ?... any one else ever tried that ? might make fer some good fishin... what kind of music would attract fish to your boat instead of all the others ?

...i agree with BUCK about what he said...yes it is always GREAT and make you proud to be an AMERICAN to watch ( with the audio MUTED ) good looking women in music videos, it just makes you proud to be an AMERICAN... kinds makes you wonder about those folks in the middle east and those countries that just cant get along with any one, they may not have any foxes running around like we do here in the USA during the hot summer time, in those skimpy shorts and low cut tops and running from wallet-mart to get in their S U V and switch on the A C to keep the make up from smearing, and drinking their high priced bottled water with that grape flavoring......who has the new country song out about " whiskey for my men, beer for my horses ? "..I never can catch the beginning of that song, just the last half ( I guess it is the last half, it only last a good minute or two )

Mostly country music from the 60's and 70's.....Merle, buck, tammy and george, gene watson, faron young, back a little futher, ernie tubbs, hank snow, hank thompson, hank sr. I don't think much of todays (term used loosly) country atrtists, a few singing country such as alan jackson and george strait (sometimes) but most sing pop drivel. Shania is ok by me though , I don't care what she sings. I listen to lots of other music like frank sinatra and nat cole..don't do rap, can't quite figure that out. sb106

Hank Williams III looks similar to and sounds like his grandpap, has his own songs, but when he sings "I'm so lonely I could cry" it gives me gooseflesh sounds exactly like his grandpappy.
