I read somewhere where it would be very difficult to break open the new big stick, but my question is once it is opened up would it be worthy of a review by one of our techs?

If so, I'd like to know what gauge of wire is inside? Comments I have read from Hams on other sites indicate that it is the most solid, best weather resistance fiberglass on the market, but does it perform up to standards?

Well, I ended up with three questions, but questions is what keep this forum going. While part of this might be found somewhere on this site, part of it is not. And besides, when every question is answered will we stop posting and reply: this has already been addressed. Will the whole site become merely a reference site and no interactive post? Let's talk. I love talking about the same things.

I can't believe what I just read in your post!!!

Your questions in this matter of the NBS-2010 Big Stick may possibly be better answered from the "Hams on other sites".

The Techs/Hams on THIS site have answered all questions in reference to this antenna to our satisfaction.

However, your point is well taken in reguard to the guage of wire used in the above mentioned antenna. And the reason why wire-guage is rarely discussed is because EVERYONE knows that it will handle more RF power than most are capable of putting to it.
