Hey everybody. A friend of mine wants me to mount a CB in his jeep. I don't know if it is a CJ 7 type or what. However,I know sometimes you can run into SWR problems. Any suggestions on best way to mount and where on back of jeep to mount?
Sorry I cannot give exact jeep model yet, cause I don't know yet. Thanks in advance. He will take my advice on antenna. I was thinking of short whip, 4 to 5 ft, not 102 inch whip, as he will complain about the height.

The simple way....

An L Bracket or mirror mount. Attach the L sahped piece of metal to the bumper, side of the vehicl or wherever is best. You can even bend the bracket slightly if you are careful to adjust the angle. OR even better put stainless washers between the bracket and the bumper/body to change the angle.

YOu can use a 102 inch Stainless whip. Just tie the top down when traveling in the woods where it can get banged around, not that being banged around will hurt it.

PS dont forget to use a heavy duty spring.

KeithinAtlanta The best place to mount your antenna in in Covington, on Alcoby road, and you can hunt for deer at the same time.

KeithinAtlanta, if the Jeep has a spare tire bracket mounted on the back of the Jeep, install a mirror mount to the the spare tire bracket.
