Re Taz... Army guy might be wanting to apply military standards for frequency accuracy. I was once considering joining Navy MARS--hams who help our good military folk get messages back home. You use military freques and standards. Once I was just 100 hertz off (radio drift) and the freq monitor almost took my head off. I QUIT immediatey of course. He He, if I wanted to work for bureaucratic idiots I would apply for a job with the Department of Transportation, Drivers License Division. But it gives you an idea of how military Bureaucrats think. So ol army guys thinking is based on his military life experiences. PS One of my most memorable military messages I delivered was a marrige proposal from a GI in Germany to a local female person. Proposal by proxy! The young lady reacted like I was proposing. Scared the hell out of me. PPS I did not receive any wedding invitation. |
