any 1 know what could be wroung with the receive on this 66v cant here people unless they are beside you .meter doesnt move,,,,, tx is fine i can talk but know rx thanks

I wonder if this uses the same regulater that the dx-959 uses if i remember right ( its mounted on rhe side of the frame ) the legs were pron to bad solder joints see if you have one and check the legs for cold solder .....

look for a heatsinked part looks like a output transistor on the side near the back it has 3 pins going out the bottom and soldered to the board a very common part in galaxy / ranger boards email me if you cant find it

1) Major Cleaning
2) 3 cracks
3) TR-17
4) New Power Plug
5) Meter Lamp
6) RF Gain Control
7) New covers
8) New Frequeny Counter Display Board (LED's)
9) Both new bezels (display and counter)
10) Full Alingment

You won't know its the same radio...

i new the radio was in bad shape, i think its one of the first 66vs they made,well thats what the thing looked like. it had rode around in a dumb truck for a couple of years. sometimes it got a good working over
