Bigbob.

Its not too bad putting it up yourself.

The best way is either putting it on your shoulder and taking it up step by step, or tying a rope to it on the ground, climb up and pull it up by the rope.

Ive done both.

Pretty jerry rigged ways, but they work.

Some days the skip is just like this. It's like fishing, some times you catch them, some times you don't. With that much power and a PDL II you've got the tools. Hang in there.

when i put up anything 4 elements and under i just carry them up i cradle the boom in both arms as i climb the tower. i did this at first, then i got smarter and made a hook i mount to the boom and lift it up and slip the hook on the next step up above me and do this till i get to the top.

Bigbob I highly recommend getting a boom truck.I've had my smoking gunnll down five times.Three of the times i had help taking the antenna down. One time i did it myself would never do that again, not that it was heavy but clumsy. The guy thats going to trim my trees came over and did it.Cost $50 dollars money well spent.I did get the smoking gunll finaly working great.Hope that helps Gage

Used towers are the only way to go. New ones cost too much.

I bought my 40ft for 80 bucks.
