Man is my throat sore!! I called and called yesterday on 27115 lsb from 12 till 12 but heard no one!! I guess there was no skip in my area.

WHY GO TO THE INTERNET. WE ARE ALL RF JUNKIES. IF YOU WANT TO TALK ON THE INTERNET, SELL YOUR RADIO, BUY A NEW COMPUTER AND DO IT. 2 WAY RADIO IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE PURE HOBBIES LEFT FOR US TO ENJOY. THE ONLY CONTROL TO THE SIGNAL IS YOU WHEN YOU PUSH THAT MIC BUTTON OR CW KEY. NO POP UPS, NO JUNK MAIL JUST RF SIGNALS FLYING AROUND ALL OVER THE PLACE. I DO HAVE A COMPUTER BUT CAN'T SEE MIXING THE TWO. |

MAN I agree !!!!!! What does chatrooms,etc. have to do with cb and 2-way radio,they are 2 totally differant things. |

Computers are just another tool to ASSIST in the radio hobby. I use mine to find info relating to the hobby that I would otherwise not have access to. I use it to log all my DX contacts, make my QSL cards and etc. Without a computer even our radios wouldnt be useable (ie micoprossers). Computers are just another way to enjoy the radio hobby more!!!

Internet over powerlines is a terrible idea.
Imagine if some terrorist took out a power plant, there goes the internet.
BAD BAD idea.
Besides, what are they going to do stop all of us from talking on our radios? |
