Uh, yeah. Why the limited time? Why not register and IRC channel on DALnet or some other IRC server, it's *free* and you can setup a bots to maintain those rules and have channel operators who do the same (like forum admins). Plus it's 24/7/365.

Sure, but say someone comes in bashing copper or another user or selling somethin and no mod is there??

Then he gets away with it, besides he said they will play it by ear for now.

Thomas,

To answer your Question's,

#1 ~ Limited Time,

Reason is to see how it perform's and monitor how many are useing it, and keep a close eye on it for any problem's that might arise.

#2 ~ Use IRC channel or Dal another server,

No reason too as it will be a Copper Chat Room here in The Copper Forum. And it is Free here also.

#3 ~ Channel Operator's,

No need, as you will have the Forummaster, the Tech's and Moderator's as well as the Chat Room Member's monitoring it.

And with it being part of the Copper Forum it will be run under the Chat Room Rules and the Copper Forum Rules.

#4 ~ 24/7/365,

As I stated above, it would be STARTED on a Trial Basis.

This will allow us to determine the demand / participation, in this Chat Room, and be able to see how smoothly it is running, and what if any changes need to be made.

If the Chat Room Member's follow the Copper Forum Rules and the Copper Chat Room Rules it will Grow and Expand.

Copper Electronic's Inc. Offer's ,

#1 ~ FREE Copper Forum for it's Customer's
#2 ~ FREE CEF Net on Sundays
#3 ~ Soon to be FREE Copper Chat Room
#4 ~ The Lowest prices on Radios, Antennas, and Equipment and Will match or beat anyone's advertised price's.
#5 ~ Free Tech & Moderator Help
(a BIG Plus as None of us Tech's or Moderator's work for Copper or even live in KY. And we gladly donate 100's of hour's each week to help where we can.

And all of the above is FREE! to EVERYONE!

Even if someone has Never bought even 1 item from Copper.

You have to realize that Copper Electronic's Inc, is in the Business to SELL, Radio's, Antenna's Amp's and all Radio Related Equipment & Product's.

And all of the above listed PERK's are given to the Copper Forum Member's

This should answer any question's that anyone might have of the NEW CHAT ROOM.

If anyone should have any further question's about the New Chat Room please free to e-mail me direct at: Tech808@copperelectronics.com

I will be happy to answer them for you.

Bullet,

Thank you for the nice word's.

All of us Tech's and Moderator's enjoy helping where we can when we can.

We all donate our time when we have it, and the Poor Forummaster put's in a lot of his Free Time also.

I would guess we had maybe, 25-30 e-mail's back and forth and around 20-25 hours on phone's back and forth getting the CEF Net going, and several hundred hours on the computer's getting thing's set up.

One day we talked at around 7am and we were both still up at 3:30 am the next morning on the computer's working.

BUT! it was fun and look's like it is starting to turn out GOOD for everyone.

And it is not just us, Alsworld and Ironmask are also donating a LOT of their time to help with the CEF NET also.

It is not just the Forummaster, Tech's & Moderator's, but You and All of the Forum Member's who post helpful advice / hint's and are there to help other's with your post's.

That is what make's this the BEST #1 FORUM on the Internet!

Just my thought's!

I am going to also offer "Radio Repair Walk Thru" for those that have some type of CB Radio problem that can be resolved over the Internet during Chat. If some of you think "AIM" (AOL Instant Messenger) is a good idea to help , let me know and I will start it up once a week.

It's a good idea no where else you can get on a chat room and actualy have someone talk back go to any other chat and start talking about radio's and see who get's booted or ignored..The only other group is a Blue jean group and there is hardly anyone there u can post messages but it's not the same as beening able to talk to some one..
