So when do we actually know when we have all the radio gear that we need, or, do we ever not feel we want just this, and that is it? or what about one of these then that will be it. |

I always like to have the new thing, but sometimes the wallet has the last word. It's funny, CB is the only thing that I spend so much money on. Yet in the end, I get alot of joy from it as well. So is it worht the money I spend.......well yes it is! But just don't tell me wallet or Wife!*G* |

My wife has a disgusting habit of asking whether my purchase is a "need" or a "want". BIG difference. In order to eliminate any further need for discussion, ALL RADIO connected purchases are "NEEDS"! I think anyone in this hobby likes the hardware and eventually collects alot of "stuff". That's why we see so many references to the "junk box". |

Ca346 I have to agree with you. All radios and accessories are "needed" items. There is no such thing as "wanted" when it comes to radio communications. It's "needed". That sure is one silly question she asks you. Jeff, kc0gxz. |

I might eat my words, but I'm 100% satisified right now. Unless something really new and great comes out in the next few years or something is destroyed, I will probably keep what I have. mikefromms |

When do we know? When we can talk about as far as we can hear any time we want. My suggestion is go ahead and go big, i.e., get the big radio, big antenna, best coax, etc... mikefromms |

The people that get me are the ones that sell completly out, just about give their stuff away, then before long they are buying again, and its gonna cost a lot more the next time. I've seen guys do this over and over thur the last 30 years. Oh well, its keeps people like Copper in business. |

Jeff, With us doing this for well over 25+ years now , you better believe she knows for what & where every single penny goes, as she is the Main Bookeeper. She tells me when we are running low on anything and makes the order list out. And if I see something that I NEED / WANT then the only comment is YOU! had better get out of it what We paid for it. I learned a long time ago there is "NO" Me or I but "WE" decide. Saves a lot of headaches for me, (She hits hard) Lon Tech808 |

Tech808 Hits hard huh? Lol. Well, that certainly explains the "NO Me" and "NO I". Hmmmmmm. Your scenario sounds all too familiar to me. For the sake of possible injury to myself, I'm letting this subject drop right here Lon. Jeff, kc0gxz. |

I think I found out yesterday that answer.....I almost dropped my DAK 10 from the shelf it was on because I was trying to make room for it's little brother. But then I thought...."it's not that I have TOO MUCH stuff....I just don't have ENOUGH room!"--- |
