Ryan knows me well ...... There REALY is a FM CB a leagal one ... now ryan has 2 part 15 fm cb radios same as i do very intresting devices too bad the FCC when cb was expanded to 40 ch didnt use some logic and allow FM only on the old class c ones but that might have made some sence ...... something goverment agencys have little of. let me know what a channel is ( email me ) |

Taz, Try Radio Shack and see if they have any left, if not they still have them on e-bay. There are several different brands. Or type in your Internet Server Search Box "MURS Radios." Lon Tech808 |

Am I to believe that this question was addressed to 11 meters? If so what frequency does everyone talk on? I have talked one time in my car on fm as a guy from Pennsylvania just had his radio repaired and was checking it out and I followed him to fm and made sure mine also worked. |

FM beats AM and SSB to pieces!!!!!!!!! its not popular so not as many jerks and intererence to put up with lime in AM and no clarifier to deal with like SSB and its clear as a bell!! love it! |

FM is very bad in heavy conditions as no voice can be heard when there are too many other carriers. |

ZNUT VERY TRUE phase distrotion on fm will make it useless in heavy faiding SSB will get through under MUCH worse conditions |

Mr RF I use a grant LT for 11 meters it is LEAGAL and feeds DIRECTLY ( YES NO AMP ) into a TOP-ONE at 25foot. I try to set a example as far as complying with reasomable rules .... yes i think some are stupid like the scanner c-phone ban ... but at the same time by nature im a experimemter too...... and have fun tinkering with things BIG TIME. Now for anyone serious about FM who does not own a fm reciver or scanner that go down far enough you CAN lissen to Ryan and the others on 27.775 its called slope detection tune your AM cb set off ch by 2 kc and squelch it if a FM signal comes in there you will hear it. |

Ryan on FM you will get hetrodine untill you captuer the receiver The hotest receiver i have used is the alinco DR-M03 a very small ( 10 watt ) radio which can be expanded off of 10 meters it had a tone encoder but optinal decoder. my home frequency is 29.600 |

Ryan if you serious about fm the DR-M03 is as good as they get ... expanded they receive 26.1 - 35.99 mhz in 5 khz steps .... i dont know how far you can strech the transmitter. Now a quick test of the alinco Dr-M03 showed at 28.01 9 watts out and .15Uv for 20 db SINAD ..... .12 for 12 db SINAD ...... i used the meter this time on the IFR something a RARELY do. Like i said tis a HOT receiver and a very small box! |

YES it will! The Mag 257 /TITAN 458 MEASURED on 29.600 was .25 UV for 12 db SINAD MORE than good enough. When you get ready drop me a email and ill kick on that alinco hooked to the TOP-ONE and give a lissen. |
