it means your battery is grounded using the neg terminal NEG connected to the chassies of the truck THIS IS NORMAL. |

My inlaws' 1947? 8N Ford tractor that has the positive lead from the battery going to the chasis and the negative lead going to starter. Hence, positive ground. |

TRUE ! and in the 50's not only did you have that a lot of cars ran on 6 volts! THAT is why cb sets had seperat powersupplys for moble or if you bought a radio with one built in you had to pick the right one. The HE-15 had EXTERNAL MOBLE VIBRATOR SUPPLY pick 6, 12 or neg or pos ground. The HE-20 cb sets came in several ver. With solid state this would been a nightmare today! |
