Just a quick report about the grounding on mobiles I posted about a month ago.

On my mobile, I recently attached ground wires to my hood, doors, frame, exaust, bed (pick-up truck)
and it has made a considerable difference for the better. I have noticed an increase in broadband ability. Seems TX and RX have improved too.

On my ground points, I ground off the paint and attached coax shield I removed from some old coax. I used crimp-on terminal rings and then coated the completed process with dielectric grease.

I am aware that most all of the items I grounded were already grounded to varying degrees but parts like doors and hoods do not have very efficient grounds.

That was a very cheap improvement. Total cost was about 3 bucks for the terminal rings and an hour of my time.

The coax shield has proved to be fairly durable as the wires attached to the doors have not broke from the repeated opening of doors.

I forgot to add that since bonding everything I can shoot skip more often. Unless it is just coincidence, it seems to talk further now.
