Bruce & Jeff you will like this! Going through a box we found overhead, We found several GEM's I forgot about. But the MAIN one is a SIMPSONS-SEARS LIMITED #280-626730 AM with FM Radio. Made August 1976. Still in Original box with price tag where we paid $169.99 back in 1976. Back then it even had a REAL Owners Manual with Schematics. Can listen to your favorite FM station and when CB talks it will over ride FM or you can just put it on FM or CB. Separate Channel Dial for CB and FM And "Burly Elm Finish (to enhance the interior of your car". Hooked it up and everything still works GREAT even the Signal Strength, SWR/Watt meter that light's up Green when Receiving and Red when transmitting. 23 Channel AM with built in FM Radio. 7-Pin Mic Plug. This puppy is getting shined up and put back into service. Lon |

Hey Lon. Pretty much a barebones radio that didn't sell well but it sure is neat to have one in working order today. And a brand new one to boot. What other little Gems did you come across? You said that you found "several". ----------------------------------------- Bruce. What do you mean you don't always rule? You NEVER rule you fraidy-cat. Don't feel bad. I woke up one day about 20 years ago and realized that there was a household-government takeover. It just happened before I realized it. I didn't rule anymore either. I've been a fraidy-cat ever since. Jeff. |

I guess they still make that combo cb/fm for the motorbikes. Some auto companies had that cb/fm combo as optional equipment in the 1970s. I ran across one of those not long ago. Bruce, that's what you need in your caddy. |
