Forummembers, For those of you who have e-mailed me in the past, I have had to change my Server from AOL to Earthlink. You can still use my e-mail name's but just use @earthlink.net instead of useing the @aol.com. This is for those of you who have written to my PERSONAL e-mail address's ONLY! My Copper e-mail is still! Tech808@copperelectronics.com AOL has refused for over 9 months now to change their proxy servers and now totally refuses to allow me access to my Tech808@copperelectronics.com e-mail at the Copper Server. For those of you have wrote to me in the past week and 1/2, I am slowly trying to get everyone answered. Thanks Lon Tech808

Congratulations on upgrading your provider. Be warned though. You may not have time to make a pot of coffee after first trying to connect -and- actually getting past the busy signals to connect. Another thing is that if your trying to download a large file, you can go make the pot of coffee instead of waiting to reconnect when you get dropped. |

Another Congrat's. I have never had a busy signal on Earthlink, but oh boy have I been dropped plently of times.... Irritating to have to reconnect, but it's my best ISP of the many for me so far. Living in the Boonies, I am too far out for broadband cable. |

I finally got broadband through q-west here, its msn. Problems problems had locked limb ports more times than I could count have the direct line to level 3 now though and I think its finally been fixed, since they changed my port. Im in the sticks too, hills anyway. Heard aol just made it to boise too. With service though I have nothing but good to say about my msn. |

Taz, Cannot get Broadband here unless thru Cable tv and way to high. But at least we can now get our Personal and Business e-mail, and Copper Mail, and Log into Chat Room, and Forum without having to use AOL, Outlook Express, & Yahoo mail. We installed the Earthlink Total Access 2004 whatever that is. Seems to be working good so far. Lon Tech808 |

Yep, Sat internet is awful. Cable broadband/Dsl is the only way to go if you want Highspeed. |

This cable internet is nice, I couldn't believe the difference in it and dialup, and with the router we can run two or three computers, doesn't slow it down any, price ain't bad either, about 25 bucks a month. Another company has started a wireless internet here now, its suppose to have cable speed, but don't how good it works, haven't talked to anyone thats using it. It's a lot more expensive, both the equipment and monthly fee, than the cable, but for the folks way out in the country, its the only hope for highspeed, except for sat, and like Taz said, its no good. |

Taz, Found out another thing with Earthlink, finally getting used to it but when I installed the accelator BAM no more access to my copper e-mail. It did work great and speeded things up, but had to delete it to have access. Starting to see the light and it is getting brighter. Guess, I need more coaching from you. Lon |

Buck, Morning, not sure what is wrong but I tried to send you an e-mail (form copper mail) so you could just click on reply to e-mail me and it came back. Something must be wrong with your e-mail system. As I received 31 messages yesterday to my Tech808@copperelectronics.com e-mail address address. And 43 e-mails to my earthink.net address. If you are useing WindowsXP you can restore your system to what it was before the problems started. Keep trying, I will try and send you oine from my earthlink address. Lon |

Sounds like accelerator acts like a "netnanny" to keep you from using email on domains other than earthlink. |
