This may sound dumb for a retiree like me to say, but I love the COPPER catalog! I think it is great to have an actual PAPER catalog each month to wear the pages off! In this day and age of electronics and less and less of a periodical that can be read in a comfortable chair (got two of those), it's a breath of fresh air to get one every month.

Incidentally, comparing COPPER's prices to another bigger, better, glossier catalog (AES); Copper is more economical! :) That's what counts with me!

Smokestack,

Did you fill out the Mail Order / Subscriptions forum on the back page of the catalog and pay the $19.99 for 1 year (12) Issues?

Generally when you place an order they will include a current issue catalog.

$19.99 for a 1 year subscription
$31.00 for a 2 year subscription
$45.00 for a 3 year subscription

If you did and are not getting them post a note in the Customer Service section of the forum so they can check on it for you.

Lon

The only people who get a catalog every month are the subscribers and the catalog we send them is larger than our regular catalog because of the articles(64 pages to 48 pages). We try to get everyone a catalog at least twice per year.

I have found that in years past that getting a catalog from coppers was like pulling teeth. I would call and call and then I ordered a antron 99 for 10 meter use at the hunting shack and asked them to please send a catalog. well wouldnt you know it NO CATALOG wow what can a guy do to get a free catalog? AEA and BURGHARDTS send them out for free and there glossy (well not burghardts) and it would be nice if coppers sold ham gear like yaesu, kenwood, icom etc. Just an idea.

Codeman,

I'm sorry you didn't receive a catalog. We aren't tight with our catalogs. We spend about $15,000 per month on catalogs.

There are over 250,000 people in our database that have bought from over the years. We can't afford to send catalogs to all of them.

We scan the database for customers who have bought from us in the last 3 years and send them a catalog at least once per year.

I will tell you that on numerous occasions when customers have compained that they didn't receive a catalogs we found that a neighbor, postman etc. had been taking them.

Our life blood is sending customers catalogs especially buying customers so if you aren't getting a catalog it isn't because we aren't trying.

I even have folks ask for my old copy which I give gladly. I'm happy to get one once every 3 months and with orders. I pass them out all the time to the locals, even tell them to ask for suzanne since she always made everything right in all my orders.

I got some from 80's but there in pieces I used to cut out the articles and mods that were in them. Nice stories they told in distant lands.

just got order today (one day service) but the catalogs coupon allready expired...whats up with that...????????? october 2003...its now dec5 2003
vol33 issue #10...should be #12

Forum Master Note :
Did you receive the catalog with an order or was the catalog sent out by it self?

All the extra catalogs are sent down to the shipping department to be sent out with orders. My guess is there must have been a lot of volume #10 left over and the shipping department just hasn't noticed that they are out of date.

I can't check today to be sure because it's Saturday and we are closed. I'll find out Monday.
