I'm still active duty with over 20 years and still going. Not exactly a retired veteran yet but a worthy mention I hope. I know there are many more.

I want to thank all of you for your posts. I was surprised to see how many Forum members are veterans! My hat is off to each and everyone of you. For those of you that made fun of this...Well maybe you should visit your local VA hospital and it might change your thinking. Again thanks everyone.

A major "THANK YOU " from me!! Thanks to folks like "YOU", I can still walk down the street and go wherever I want to, when I want to and do what I want to. Thank you for serving our country!! I must share a short story with you. I had a company trip to Chicago last December. Plane was over 1/2 full with new Army solders. I talked to about two dozen of them. I thanked them for serving our country, you should have seen the smiles on their faces!! I did small talk with them, like where are you from, stuff like that. What a great day that was for me. I got the better end of the deal, just because I got to see the smiles and hear the thank yous from THEM, while talking with them. And again to all you folks out there who have served our country, many many thanks!!

My GF's sisters BF happened to just get back from Iraq, man those guys are tough. I didn't know weather to cry for the guy, hug him or shake his hand.

I almost feel like they put there life on the line for the american way of life and I owe a debt to society because of it, :(

But, I think within my wisdom I will eventually join the millitary but must finnish school first.

I would like to thank all of you who have served or are serving in our armed forces, also. I was not cut out for the military, but I have a deep respect for the courageous men and women who serve and risk their lives to protect our Red, White and Blue, and the freedoms of all Americans.
I would also like to thank the families of the men and women who lost their lives keeping this great country free.

HERE IS A GREAT BIG HEART FELT THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU.
