I have a few Palomar 300A's and wondered if it is safe to drive one with a palomar 90A. Would this work if you, ie; set the 90A to dead key 10W and swing 70W. I realize that you would have to keep the 300A on the low side. What kind of watttage would this produce? I'm sure a few of you have or had the old chrome tops. What is the most that can be put out(safely) with these amps? I am using six 6KD6 tubes. |

Musky, The 300 isn't made to drive with another amp, any amp like that is best driven with 3-4 watts max, if you overdrive it you'll get a "crappy" and "dirty" audio. Now if you have a small commercial type amp like a KW that's built for this you could drive it with the 90. Tombstone |

the 300 A will take a drive of like 100 watts (swing not deadkey BTW) in low because you are not using the driver section.. this amp barks when driven on low.. I had one and it talked all over the place.. |
