Hey Bruce.
Can you send me a copy of the CD with the HTX-10 Service Manual?? I got onto 29FM the other day and found out this one appears to be 5KHz+ off frequency. That is to get clear audio from any repeater I had to tune 5Khz high and then use the fine tune control...

By the way Ive been absent from here due to a crazy pc - constant Blue Screens and Invalid Operations errors. Finally hit it with a big hammer. Will use a bigger one shortly when I load Linux instead.

bruce, the 'shift' function only activates when he tx's. his rx is going to be whatever freq is displayed on the lcd. from what i read, it sounds like his rx is off freq. the shift function would not effect his rx, only his tx.

he says that he is using a rptr. there is no way to use a rptr if he turns the 'shift' off.

1st check to see if the SHIFT is turned on you want it off unless your running on a repeater
the receive / RIT ALSO changes transmitt frequency Htx-10's also have been found from the factory to have the FM detector coil miss tuned if so that could also explane what your seeing

Bruce,
Ive tried it with several repeaters and with a friend local on simplex, in all cases I needed to tune around 5khz higher to receive understandable audio. It probably is the FM discriminator coil that needs to be adjusted or the Rx deck.

Crafter I will catch-up with you snd we can check it ASAP or rather as soon as work allows..
