with amp off,1.2 is the swr meter giving false readings?or what can I do,to correct this,have 9 ft jumper,can I go to 18ft?

if the reading is on the output side of the amp its harmornics

And if the reading is on the input side then the amp has poor input tuning or possably none at all.
