Has anybody seen or heard of this yet? Looks like they're trying to market CB in a new way, if they offered one with side band I'd actually think about getting one. Check out this link to see!!

That would make a nice mobile for some baby's crib.

How many folks will those shiny objects catch?

Pretty cool. It looks like an attempt to get the kids in on CB again as we slide down the backside of the solar cycle towards less DX. In a couple of years, barring any ongoing anomalous sun activity, they will actually be useful again for local communications over the next few years.

I wonder, though, how it gets it's power? Is is sapping RF?

of your 4 watts, how much of that is used to light up that antenna?

I also like the 40 channels for interference free communication claim.

I taped a 48 inch tube light on my 5/8 wave once and it would light up when I keyed up. You can light them up under some power lines too.

Be fun to see if you can light them up when you pull up along side them. CRANK UP THE POWER!!

Heh, I like the "No Service Fees". It is kinda cool that they're trying to get more people interested. I had the 75WX which is like that handset model, and loved the setup, but since it doesnt have a rf gain adjustment, it was so sensitive it was practically useless because of background noise. I wonder what the cops thinking of people putting blue-ish lights on top of their roof?

Well folks, although most of us know that these aren't exactly the best units that are available, it is nice to see that at least one company is attempting to market CB again in a new way. Maybe a few of us could buy them for presents for a few of our younger friends and family this Christmas and see if we could get them interested in CB or even ham or whatever. Yes, they did seem a bit over priced, but you never know what they may be in a few months. Heck I'd like one just for the novelty factor.
