Good luck on the test.

Though, since you've been studying, you won't even need it.

radiodude,

Go to the link below and start taking the pratice test's. When you finish one go on to another one.

It will tell you if you are passing and Every Question is worded EXACTLY as they will appear on your test.

http://www.qrz.com/testing.html

Hope this helps.

Way to go dude !
Are you taking the with or with code ?
I say : take the with code test. You will find that with most ham's . . . they give ya' a little
more respect . As for me. I walk a weee bit taller. GOOD LUCK ! -.-. --.- -.-. --.-

Radiodude,

good luck, but we have faith in you. Studying makes all the the difference and I know you will do well!

You CAN do it!!! Standing by to see that passing grade.

Oh by the way, eham used to also offer practice test www.eham.net I think. It was formatted different but same question pool, and between QRZ and eham and studying, you will be in fine shape.

Radiodude,

Have you been listening to any ham bands?
Do you have a favorite ham band yet?
Do you know on what band your first QSO be?
And, who with?

Just curious...if you haven't made any specific plans yet then start thinking about it. Your first official QSO will be one you'll never forget so make it special...maybe with a buddy that has helped you study or who got you interested in ham radio, etc.!

My advice, take Lon's advice and do the online quiz, over, and over, and over! "Practice makes perfec"xxxxxno...Passing!

Best of Luck!

The test are not as hard as you think. You can memorize the answers. Don't clam up. For the most part it's about manners on the air and rules with some technical stuf--that kind of passed over me. That's the biggest thing that now sticks out to me. Aren't we glad we don't have to actually assemble a transmitter-receiver now to get a license? When my father-n-law (deceased) got his General license back in the 70's, I understood him to say he had to assemble a radio and the FCC actually gave the test.

WHEN I PASS and get my ticket I dont know who will be my fist contact, but I have already made up a QSL to send to that person!

I have taken the online tests at QRZ about 200 times and have passed every time!! I am going to keep taking them in my spare time and I am hoping that doing so will drill it into me!!

i think you are more than ready, just pop yourself open a cold beer or 12 and forget about it until 'showtime'. if you don't you may stress yourself out.

Or combine the suggestions of Lon and Ss8541 and relax....I kept taking the tests on QRZ over and over and over and over and over and it payed off. I aced the test when I took it. Just relax and take your time on the test...You'll do fine. I just wish the element 1 test was as easy as the element 2

808, the answer to your question lies in the 'snakebite 4 to 808..over' post on 11-05-03.

i didn't forget about the b-day. it looks like the gov has not either. they figured what better way to celebrate the usmc b-day than sending 20,000 marines back to i-rock to do what they/we do best.

Now you'll be checking the web site that gives you your actual license number.... 24 hrs a day until you get it!

I remember my first contact using my 'ticket'. Great QSO on a local repeater.

Congrat's.
