The Soldier It is the soldier, Not the reporter, Who has given us Freedom of the press. It is the soldier, Not the poet, Who has given us Freedom of speech. It is the soldier, Not the campus organizer, Who has given us the Freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, Not the lawyer, Who has given us the Right to a fair trial. It is the soldier, Who salutes the flag, Who serves under the flag, And whose coffin Is draped by the flag, Who allows the protester To burn the flag. American Freedom... Don't take it lightly! |

Contary to the yellow belly press in this country who have always shown our nation in any bad light they could and out fighting men/women as childkillers AKA MY-LAI .... This nation has the finest military in the world. Right now all over the world as they have done for almost 230 years they contiue to show the spirt of the american people and that american hope to see all people free. My dad and my father in law fought in WW2 both recieved purple hearts my wifes uncle was killed on the beaches on D-Day I had several uncles in WW1 my older brother and myself served during vietnam so this family has been there and done that. Remember tuesday the 56000 who lost there lives in vietnam 50000 in another asian war 400000 in WW2 and the list goes on and on. Yesterday i sent out a photo that said alot about the military it showed a young marine in iraq armed to the teeth but he had time to pet a stray kitten...... god bless them all and lets get them home. As an "import" and an ex-Australian Airforce person, I'd like toadd my best wishes and thanks to all vets no matter when, where or who they fought. THese so called Police Actions killed people just as much as any recognized war. I got close in 82 - my unit was 1 week from being shipped to Fauklands when it ended, adn let me tell you I was glad. So to all vets out there THANKS and please pass my appreciation on to any you know who dont read this. |

I served in Viet Nam 70-71 my 1st cousin was killed in action there. My son is a marine, he has 15 years service!! My father was at Pearl on Dec 7 1941 and was credited with shooting down one of the Japenese planes! My brothers were both in the Army, one medicaly retired due to wounds suffered rescueing Americans in Grenada!! I am NOT a war monger, there are better ways, but when called I served!! Bless all Veterens and thier families.
