Well after weeks of getting my antenna up, and my radio going, it's all about to end.

My folks sold they're house. Which is great for them. They are getting ready to retire. And so, they will be living with the Wife and me for the next 8 weeks or so. This will give them time to clean up the bills, and find an RV they like.

So what does this have to do with radio? Well my radio room will be they're new home. And by the time they leave, we'll have snow to our knees. And this means no install of coax till spring. And no CEF Net till then either. And to top it off, my computer is in the radio room as well. I will still have the Wife's computer. But she works with hers, so it will not be as often as I would like.

So the long and short of it is, I am going to be off the air till spring. And that's ok. After all, the folks have been great to us. Seeing how they gave us the down payment for our home, it's a small price to pay.

So anyways, I will try and keep checking in here, but let me say this:

HAPPY CHRISTMAS
HAPPY NEW YEAR
And all the other holidays I might miss.

I will be back, so remember me. And have a great winter boys and girls.

Awww, bummer! Hmmm.......think, think, think......there's gotta be away you can stay on the air. I know, get one of those desks with the roll down cover and they will never see it when not in use. Then use headphones when in operation. Where theres a will theres a way. :)

What about mobile operation or extending you coax to another room so you can talk?

Good luck.

Well guys, there is no room for my desk. Plus I would have to run coax all the way to the other side of the house. It would be over 75 of coax to the antenna, maybe more. So that will not work. As for mobile, not a real option. My truck is tight for space, and I would never reach any skip. And while I could hook the base antenna to a mobile, it get's cold here in Maine. And the coax would get mighty stiff sitting in the snow! *G* But don't worry, I may be on in Feb, depends on the weather. But thank you for the ideas. If cabin fever sets in, I may try oneor two!

Gee whiz. I thought I was the only one to run the coax and antenna to the car.

Listen to them young man. I agree with everything they said!!

SodaPop:

Now don't misunderstand me, but I don't think you've got the 'fever'. The fever is when you will do just about whatever it takes to get out there on the air! My wife says I've lost the 'balance' in my everyday outlook, because except for church on Sunday, the radio comes first everywhere else! Obsessive is the word I believe she used?? Can't understand her? Why I even set a up a seperate radio and antenna in the shop/garage so I wouldn't bother my wife with any noise... HeHe ...

Well, first except for my grandkids.... and except maybe "CSI" on Thursday nights.... and except maybe for dinner... (we don't eat supper here in California)

Made the mistake of inviting my wifes Uncle to "dinner" once. He showed up at 12:00N... I told him Dinner was not until 6:00PM and he said that was SUPPER, not dinner!
