My wife saw me at the computer on the Copper Forum,... again,.. and said, "The problem with you guys is,... you have too much time to blow." Gosh, I'm always in trouble when I log onto this site. I think it's timing or something,... maybe the location of the computer on the way to the laundry room?

What's a guy to do to get his 'seemingly better half' off of his back!

Well, she just gave me the answer, three words,..."Get a life."

Gotta love em!

X:

Yup! Mine's exactly the same. Except she adds the comment "How can you spend so much time on that radio forum?".

Actually, I took the time to explain it to her today.... She walked away shaking her head....?

X and Ca:My wife doesn't ask me those questions, eleven years ago and before I used to sit in my car sucking down 2 fifths a day,she used to ask me why I spent so much time in the car, well she found out,it was bad.I've been a friend of Bill W. since, the last time she asked me why I just said "do you want that I should go back to what I was,or do you like me better this way"?She stopped 'cause she and I both know the answer.Bigbob

Go buy her some flowers and leave her a love note now and then and maybe throw a load of clothes in the washer now and then. I think the whole this comes down to her wanting some attention.

My wife's first husband stayed gone all the time drinking and gambling. So, she appreciates me being around the house. But I don't know if telling your wife what you could be doing will make a difference. I still think she wants your attention. Give her some good attention and she will bring you a coke and a snack to the computer when you log on to CEF and tell you "I'm glad to see you enjoying yourself."

Forget the threats of bar hopping and girlfriends...those are wedges that cut even deeper.

Go ask your wives two questions everyday for a month:
1. Do you know that I love you?
2. Then ask her if she feels loved today?

The first few weeks you may hear NO quite often but after a little DXing with the wife's soul you will achieve a 59+60dB signal report...Trust me!

Just remember, women have a built-in need to feel loved (the emotional part). It's the husband's duty to fulfill that need. Call this her "love tank". Now, if her tank is full she won't even question the time OR MONEY you spend on the radio! Don't believe me, go try it.

Women aren't like men. You have to tell them over and over I love you and show them with flowers, cards, love notes, compliments.

The story is told about a man and his wife who had been married 30 years. The wife had her husband go to counselling with her because she didn't feel loved anymore. She told the specialist, "He never tells me he loves me anymore."

The man explained, "I told you I loved you when I married you, and if I ever change my mind I'll be sure to let you know."

We've got to tell them and show them guys. When we do that; then, it's happy dxing, hunting, fishing or whatever. She must feel she is at least close to the top on your list of priorities.

BTW, many of us have learned this lesson the hard way. I can't say it's all my fault, but I could have done better in my first marriage. Actually, she needed two men to assure her that she was loved. LOL!
