The conversion in the Omega Force radio is the same as the Delta force model radio, just move the jumper pins for 10 or 11 meters.there is a little jumper board inside the radio has 4 sets of 2 pins. |

Hi 308, It's simple. Remove the power cord, position the front of the radio facing towards you and remove the bottom cover, on the left side towards the front you will see a small board that is mounted upside down and held on with a phillips head screw, remove the screw, turn the board right side up and position the shorting jumper from the #1 to the #3 position and press the little cpu reset button on the board for a few seconds. Reinstall the board, bottom cover, & restore power. You now have full time expanded coverage including the CB band. Put the jumper in the #2 position and everytime you turn the radio on you will have to hold down the call button for a few seconds to get the expanded bands or it will just defualt to the 10 meter mode. Jumper position #4 defualts the radio to the 11 meter cb band only with just 40 channels. Happy Dx'ing to your friend, he's gonna love this radio. |

Does anyone know where to adjust the echo volume level inside this radio? After a couple of months my echo is now barely audible on talk back and transmit. BTW, the talk back works and sounds great. Gosh, i dont really want to send it back to Magnum for such a simple problem. How about all the adjustments like, Audio, High and Low Power? Thanks for all the help. 73's... |

I use echo just to add a little shot of reverb into AM for that large sound, but for SSB I always turn it off, echo sounds terrible on SSB! BTW, the echo on these radios is the cleanest I have ever heard. |

Thanks Alsword, The echo is really clear but now just barely audible. It wasnt like that 2 months ago, it just gradually faded down, but other than that the radio works excellent. It looks like I will have to send it to Magnum for repair. Read your post about your Delta Force and the service you got from Magnum, glad to know that they take care of their customers, they also sent me a hat for registering my radio with them. Did I ever tell you about the survival vest I found when I was stationed at VP-24? Yep, held it for ransome till they coughed up a case of beer. Thanks Czar for clearing that up. Good point for sure. I wondered if there were differences with the talkback/echo board. I figured the Topgun might be a seperate issue. Guess not. I appreciate the feedback. Topten, I guess you might have to send it back. A friend in FL had to send his back for another issue (minor). Because of his coast, they had him send it to Bob's in Mass. under warranty. Man is he impressed!!! He was treated right for sure. I sent mine (Delta Force) to Chris in CA. You are correct, I was very happy with the results and quick turnaround. Maybe I have been one of the lucky ones, but good service from Magnum for me. Yeah, I like that hat as well . Hmmmm, case of beer. An Officer or an AW? LOL! That is a well deserved case of Beer. Serves 'em right for being stupid. They never appreciate us huh? Ransom.....that is so cool! Alsworld |

Thanks, cant wait for my friend to get it in. If it sounds as good as the one I heard a few sundays ago on the net I think I might add one my self to the collection. heck it seems like all the good stuff comes already done from the factory on this one. |

Dogdeman, That will be interesting what MTX on SSB will sound like to the CEF group. BTW, is your echo nice and loud, or low? 73's... CEF-224 |

The MTX modulator just works on AM. On sideband you have to turn the variable power up, then it will swing 50+ watts. |
