Yes, They finally got me the other night. My truck was hit. They got everything I had except for my wilson 5000. They took my Galaxy 44 and my Texas star 400V. Has anyone ever used a slip seater? If so can you tell me how big of an amp can you mount in it? Is it really as easy as they claim it is to install and use? I guess I will be trying to get one and use it. I think this is the only way I will be able to keep anything. I thought that my terminal would be a safe place to leave my truck and all it's contents but I guess I was wrong. My company says they are not going to do anything to improve it's condition either. So I guess this will be only way I can keep anything, because I can't bring truck home with me, (no parking place). Any suggestions on what kind of slip seater to use and any help is greatly appreciated. Hornet168 KY CEF# 219 |

Hornet168ky, This is in answer to your question in the Customer Service Area and this post. Here are two of the Slip Seater's that Copper Carries. If your Amp is larger than will fit into the Box you can always mount it on the Outside of box "Which I suggest for better Air Flow Cooling." I would suggest the larger one (More Room Inside) but you can choose what will work best for you. As for EASY, YES, They come with handles and all you do is Unplug Power Cord and Coax and away "YOU" go with "YOUR" equipment, (NOT SOMEONE STEALING YOUR EQUIPMENT) Takes less than 1 minute to connect coax and plug power cord in. Like I mentioned in my reply to you in the Customer Service Area, When we woiuld go into Truckstops for meals and shower's our equipment went with us. When we would park for the weekend and be at home, Our equipment went with us. No sense leaving anything for anyone to see or try and steal. Hope this help's. Hornet168ky, We used to have the same problem at the same company I work for. It did not stop at just radio equipment. Our tools were walking away on a regular basis! It was a great day for both our Drivers and us Techs when the cameras were installed! No problems after that! Mike CEF 198 |

I've made them for use with a 667v. I mount it all together though with one power lead. Make sure to use a large gauge wire. |
