I was just reading part 95.25 GRMS Land station description and in that parapgraph, and others I've seen in the past, they reference Lines A and C. Seems the rules change depnding on where you are (north, south, east or west) of these lines.
Does anybody on Forum know where these lines are or where (what section and part) I can find out about them?
Thanks,
Barracuda

I had to go back to a 1999 version of Part 95 for the answer. I don't recall the history change but the rules seem to have been re-written and the parts listed below either don't exist in the more recent version of rules online at the GPO or they have been heavily re-written. Hope this helps...here goes:

- 47CFR95.25:1999 refers you to 95.37 for the boundries...
-47CFR95.37:1999 refers you to 47CFR1.955:1999...
-47CFR1.955:1999 says:

"Line A— Begins at Aberdeen, Wash., running by great circle arc to the intersection of 48N., 120W.,
thence along parallel 48N., to the intersection of 95W.,
thence by great circle arc through the southernmost point of Duluth, Minn.,
thence by great circle arc to 45N., 85W.,
thence southward along meridian 85W., to its intersection with parallel 41N.,
thence along parallel 41N., to its intersection with meridian 82W.,
thence by great circle arc through the southernmost point of Bangor, Maine,
thence by great circle arc through the southern-most point of Searsport, Maine, at which point it terminates; and Line B— Begins at Tofino, B.C., running by great circle arc to the intersection of 50N., 125W.,
thence along parallel 50N., to the intersection of 90W.,
thence by great circle arc to the intersection of 45N., 7930W.,
thence by great circle arc through the northernmost point of Drummondville, Quebec
(lat: 4552N., long: 7230W.),
thence by great circle arc to 4830N., 70W.,
thence by great circle arc through the northernmost point of Campbellton, N.B.,
thence by great circle arc through the northernmost point of Liverpool, N.S., at which point it terminates.

Line C— Begins at the intersection of 70
N., 144W.,
thence by great circle arc to the
intersection of 60N., 143W.,
thence by great circle arc so as to include all of the Alaskan Panhandle; and
Line D— Begins at the intersection of 70
N., 138W.,
thence by great circle arc to the
intersection of 6120N., 139W., (Burwash
Landing),
thence by great circle arc to the intersection of 6045N., 135W.,
thence by great circle arc to the intersection of 56N., 128W.,
thence south along 128meridian to Lat. 55N.,
thence by great circle arc to the intersection of 54N., 130W.,
thence by great circle arc to Port Clements,
thence to the Pacific Ocean where it ends."

Thanks guys, I found another description on line that explained the purpose of the lines, which I guess is what I was really after, even if that wasn't exactly the question I asked.
For future reference, line A is a line paralleling the US/Canada border on the US side. A similar line, b, is on the Canadian side. Line C/D run either side of the Alaska/Canada border. The rules are meant to prescribe ways of preventing interfenrece between US and Canadian radio regulations. At least that's the way I understood it.
Thanks again guys for the information
