Saw these on ebay and just had to post it. Here's a deal for a pair of abused President HR- 2510's. These can probably restored to excellent condition by someone thats really good at radio repair. Wish i had that talent! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1501&item=3065004001

Dink: The 800 MHz you are referring to is the telephone frequencies range that we are now not allowed (by law) to listen to. My old Radio Shack sanner also includes those frequency ranges, but who the heck wants to listen in on a telephone conversation anyway? Bad enough listening to channel 38 some days when the IDIOTS are having their ONE WAY conversations.... |

They are not illeagal 1) they are not being sold as modified 2) they are not being sold as HAM/cb power dosnt matter for ham radios or frequency coverage...... excluding cb As for your connex if you avertized it as being a export or cb set the max power is 4 watts and channels are limited to 40 |

Crafter: Yeah, sure... But when I have the ShortWave radio on, and the Scanner on, and the ICOM706 on, and I'm playing solitare on my computer at the same time, it gets a little busy.... |

CA346, do you ever hear mr. Fester Bester on LSB 38? This guys comes in regularly on the skip waves here in Mississippi and he just talks to himself making fun of cbers. He has a good station. I don't know why he won't just talk on it and enjoy it. He tries to be funny but blocks the airways so that others cannot hear to talk. mikefromms |

Any ham radio on ebay can be modified but they single out 2510's & 2950's. I run all my stuff through yahoo auction. just because they threw your auction out you shouldn't make it rough for others. I was banned from ebay for a month and i didn't go through each listing and notify them when i found a contraband radio!! |

Barefoot just relist it as a 10m radio, which is what it is. People know the rest. I've sold amps and radio's with few problems and if all else fails yahoo will let you sell almost anything. |

Crafter & Other's, It would make "NO Difference" on how a person would list the HR2510. e-Bay has a Secret List which they go by on Radio's that they allow to be listed. In a letter I have here from the FCC from Three different people they Clearly Stated: The FCC doe's not Tell or Suggest what e-Bay Can List or Cannot List on their Private Auction Site. The 2510 is on "e-Bays Secret List." So, NO matter how it would be Listed as Long as it has 2510 or even a picture of a HR2510 in it, it will be jerked and the FCC has Nothing to do with this. Been there and Done that. Been thrown off many time's in the past over this list and the wording of Ad's. We finally hired an Attorney to get re-instated and get there Secret Copy of Forbidden Radio's on e-Bay. If anyone would like a copy of e-bays SECRET list that they go, by drop me a e-mail and I will glad to forward them a copy of the List. Lon Tech808 |

Lon is right , it does not matter how you list a 2510, they will throw it off !! I got banned from ebay for a month over 2510's & 2950's. I had to kiss up to them over the internet and promise I would never, ever do it again!! Lon , could you email me that secret list. |
