I have a D 104 amplified mic. it a older model and there is a switch in the base that says R and F. Is it to change impedance? Thanks 73 ed

i think you mean r and e electronic swiching or r for older relay radios

I have the same mike and Jon666 is right on with that, mine is the D104 TUG 8

Dimstar,

The T and R defined the type of circuit used to switch between transmit and receive...

- Older radios used "relays" (R)
- More current radios use solid state "electronic (E) switching
