I wonder if some one is pulling our leg. just the other night I had a aledged contact with CVN-73 wich is the super carrier GEORGE WASHINGTON he said his name was lt.comander mike and was in the east med. and was making the contact via satalite with the go ahead from his skipper. This contact lasted from 12:00 am to 2:00 am with a local operator by me talking to him along with OH and another from PA. this was very strange in that we could all here each other as it we were sitting at the same table together. and we had this type of conditions at midnight. this took place on 3900 lsb. then I woke up to here we got sadom. |

308,I live in South Jersey and heard the same ship talking to someone on SSB on channel 39 last Sunday morning around 5 O AM. I can't remember who he was talking to but they told the ship that Sadam was caught and made the whole ship happy.The skip was rolling across the east coast pretty good last weekend and the corn belt states were loud and proud on my end. |
