good greaf a OB2 regulator tube! Back 40 years ago i used BUNCHES of them now if i remember its a 105 volt regulator in the 20 millamp ( draw ) range......common pins for regulator tubes were ... pins 2, 7, 4 are cathode and 1 and 5 are plate to measure one you need to apply a voltage of 125 volts through a resistor and have the total current draw 15 millamps the drop plate to cathode will be 105 volts as soon as the tube gasses ( glows ) to test you change the voltage watching current and voltage to should drop out .... go to supply voltage at about 5 mills ( stop glowing ) and reach max current at 30 mills get even briter but matain voltage cathode to plate. i dont know of many tube testers that tested them they were long life and VERY cheep ( not anymore )

Ok, so the tester can't give enough juice to test the tube right?,... not enough voltage from the tester.

That's my favorite method. Put the voltmeter on the thing with the radio warmed up and running. Don't even have to pull it out of the socket. If the gas inside lights up and the meter reads within 10% of the rating, it's a good tube.

None of the tube testers I've had over the last 30 years would check one. They usually list the 75 or 80-Volt types, like 0A2, 0A3, but none of other types that run at 105 Volts or 150 Volts.

For those, the radio (and your meter) are the test. I'm pretty sure the 0B2 should read between 95 and 115 Volts DC if it's okay.
