I just bought a General Lee radio and had it converted. After I hooked up my Galaxy frequency counter I noticed that the channels on band A and band E are the same (25.615 - 26.055) . Where is 27.415 - 27.885? Is this an error? How do I correct this? |

You have a wire loose coming from the band switch. The connector at the other end of the wires on the band switch could be the trouble, too. Band A is selected by all the wires from that switch being "off". Band B is selected when the switch turns that wire "on". Band C has its own wire, etc. Any time the band switch or a wire on it fails, you will get band A instead of the one you wanted. 73 |

Ok. So you're saying that the wire for band E is loose. I guess I'll have to take it back to the shop and have it re connected. Thanks. |

Yes sir, That's my prediction. Could be loose at the band switch end, could be the plug at the other end of the wire. 73 |
