I just bought a General Lee radio and had it converted. After I hooked up my Galaxy frequency counter I noticed that the channels on band A and band E are the same (25.615 - 26.055) . Where is 27.415 - 27.885? Is this an error? How do I correct this?

You have a wire loose coming from the band switch. The connector at the other end of the wires on the band switch could be the trouble, too.

Band A is selected by all the wires from that switch being "off". Band B is selected when the switch turns that wire "on". Band C has its own wire, etc. Any time the band switch or a wire on it fails, you will get band A instead of the one you wanted.

Ok. So you're saying that the wire for band E is loose. I guess I'll have to take it back to the shop and have it re connected. Thanks.

Yes sir,
That's my prediction. Could be loose at the band switch end, could be the plug at the other end of the wire.

CBblackbeard, did you get it fixed yet? Was that the problem?
