As high as possible. Actually being serious mine is tuned for 10m and is located 30ft high but will be going higher next year when I put the tower up (50ft plus). Use good low loss coax and get it high but try to keep it at multiples of a halfwave (about 18ft for 11m).

IF you have enough mini-8 coax you MIGHT try this,go to army/navy store and get 3 weather balloons some very strong cord and a BIG boat winch then you can put it up as high as you want,maybe 500 feet,by god then you'll get out.Bigbob

i haven't read the Rules in a long time... But i thought there was a Rule of how high it can be.... with out lights on it... i would like to atleast get it 50 Feet....

Tried that a few years back with a 80m longwire (300ft of 18gauge and 290ft of fishing line) worked great until the wind picked. Suddenly my town had now power, legnths of copper wire with melted ends everywhere and a weather balloon floating free on the wind..
