I currently own an RCI 2980 Wx. I do not like the way the clarifier works on this radio. It has a fine and coarse clarifier. They both adjust transmit and recieve and it is slightly off frequency. It comes shipped this way and to my knowledge there is no way to modify it. I'd like to get a new base. Anybody have any suggestions
on a good base. RCI 2995? 2985? Galaxy 2517?
Thanks. whiteduv@hotmail.com

You should be able to tune the TX offset easily by turning the TX offset variable resistor. Check out a schematic on the radio. If that is the problem, that is the remedy.
