25 CBs mostly old (60s and 70s), 8 Ham radios (6 HF, 2 VHF), 7 GMRS/FRS, 12 short-wave, 30 broadcast receivers from the '20s and '30s, (one TRF), plus all the maintenance equipment that goes with the hobby (including the irritated wife with all the "radio widow" sarcasm).

Oneway,

The best thing is to get her interested in Radio and show her it can be a lot of Fun for BOTH of you.

I have My Own Base Station, My Own Desk Mic's, and My Own Mobiles I like to use in the Cars and Trucks.

Iam a Copper CEF Net Member and have a lot of fun talking with everyone on the Sunday CEF Net's.

When I met Lon Tech808 28+ years ago I figured I would not just sit by and watch him have fun, so I joined him.

NOW WE BOTH HAVE FUN!

Hey Stickshift. What kind of 23 channel am radios do you have? Some of our members would love to hear about the old ones, folks like me for example. I still have an old Tram 23 channel mobile that works just as good as any 40 channel radio on the market today!! Also, do those 23 channel radios still work?

Keith,

Most of the 23 channels are mobiles. I have 5 Midlands that are all the same model, funny I can't remember what #, you'd think having 5 identicle radios would jog my memory. Also an old Realsitic Navaho Pro, 3 or 4 other Midlands, Kraco CB Deluxe (sometimes refered as 10-9 radios, ha ha, it is my 2nd radio and I actually used it quite a bit with no complaints, first radio was a Realistic TRC-11 and still have that 1 also), Channel Master (PLL, probably 1 of the last before 40's came around), Hy-Gain III, Pearce Simpson Lynx, 2 Robyn mobiles (forgot the model #'s), 3 Royce mobiles (forgot #'s), Cobra 29 (first of the series), and many others I have forgot over time. My mothers attic is full of radios I acquired over the first few years of this wonderful hobby. Most of them were in working order when last used. I boxed everything up fairly well and would be surprised if they didn't still work. The only 2 23 channel sidebands I've ever owned were the ones I mentioned in my earlier post. I'm starting to use the 13-892 now again thanks to the CEF net. I should take a peek in the attic again and see what's there.

A dx2517 sitting on top of a ruined eagle 2000 as a constant reminder of what a golden screwdriver can do,a pci22(10 years old) in my truck,a tricked out stalker f9dx for my van, this radio had the amc attack time slowed down so it realy talks am and ssb,for equal mike inputs it is twice as loud as my pc122 and has the same final,go figure, well that's all I got for radios.Bigbob
