Anyone know what models and brands of those old 23 or 40 channel telephone type cb's?? I found a mint one on ebay and was curious to start looking around for more. I found the midland 13-886, 77-963, realistic trc56, johnson 130A and 132's all have the phone type key up but just wanted to know if anyone knew of anymore. Just a classic collectors radio for me.

Sears made ROADTALKER base stations with the phone setup you're talking about. I dont know any model #s but I see them all the time on E-bay.

Offhand I don't. I still have one of the Johnson 130s and was never impressed with its performance.

Hey Boxcar. I had a Lafayette mobile telephone cb, 23 channels. It was a GREAT radio! I can't remember the model number, but go to lafayette radio.com ( I think ), and you can go through the different pictures and find that radio. I remember back in 70's when I had it that people would really get a charge out of watching me talk on it going down the road. And of course, truck drivers to cars, people thought it was neat that I had a cb that looked like the phone. Quite honestly, I do not know what happened to it, but I wish I had it back to use again, because it was that good of a radio!!!!!!!

I remember seeing the ads for one if these in the mid 70s! It was a sears model I believe! I wanted one cause they looked neat to me back then! Of course as a HS kid I couldnt afford one! Having this configuration back then would have been "cool" because Mobile telephones were around then but only for the rich in their limos! But today they would be really dorkey looking!
