808 and any others,

what kind of output are you seeing using these tubes per tube so to speek.

like a one tuber-125 watts
or 5 tuber doing 500 watts

im curious as ive intertained the thought of converting a 10 tube phantom to run these tubes or maybe a complete over haul to run 811a's witch are even cheaper considering you would only need 4 of them or maybe 1 driving 4.

the el 509 conversion is much easier but cost of 10 509 tubes is twice what 5 811a's would be and wouldnt last as long im sure.

mual this over and let me know what you think!

Bullet,

Sorry if I dont see a post when it comes in for the Open Section I generally do not have the time to check this Area as there are so many post's on so many different subject's and topics it would take me forever to try and read them all.

Below is from the Review I did on the KLV 1000 in the Subscriber (Preview) Section on the Forum.

Output Levels Using Low, Hi & Hi –1 & Hi & Hi-2

Position / Input / Dead Key / PEP
Low / 2.5 Watts / 150 Watts / 400 Watts
Hi & Hi-1 / 2.5 Watts / 350 Watts / 700 Watts
Hi & Hi-2 / 2.5 Watts / 450 Watts / 900 Watts

The Review will give you more information.

Hope this help's

Lon

ive seen retro fits of dentrons and other amps using 6je6/6lq6 moded to the el509's.

it seems easy enuff just wondered what the new out put would be if done to a phantom 500 im guessing around 1200 watts am?
