Im in a jam of what kind of beam to put up with limited room and the best performance and it between the M103 or the Yquad. Or a PDL-2 if someone has one, wondering what has better rejection or if one out performs the other. The M103 would be up horz and used for DX but would require me to put up an omni for local talking, or with the Yquad i could just run it vertical and just point it to were im talking. some one please give me a little advise on what to go with. Thanks, CM4257, AKA Ron |

Ran a PDL2 for a long time, great beam. I wish I had another. Also had a CD3 3 element crushcraft. Worked very well, , , wish I had another. ( I hve imfo on the Signal Eng. ants and will making a selection from there. ) |

My vote would be the PDLII because it has both polarities available and takes up less rotational space. This is the way I see it... The M103: Has a little more gain, Has a little more rejection, Takes up more room, Only works on one polarity. The PDLII: Takes up less space, Has slightly less gain but in my opinion you will never know it, Has less rear rejection, but the difference would probably never be noticed, Has BOTH horizontal and Vertical polarity available with the flip of a switch. |

I have benn looking at a bunch of small beams and it came down to the PDL-2 or the M103, im more leaning to the PDL2 now after alot of people told me that the y quad doesn't cut it. Ebay has been hot lately for PDL-2's some at good prices some way crazy $300+! Thanks people! Ron, CM4257 |
